“Head To Toe Berlin”– Summer 2015 – Art Center College of Design – Pasadena, CA
This is a study abroad upper term course involving 10 students from Product Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design and Illustration. With nine weeks in Berlin, this course is designed to immerse students in the design, textile and fashion industries of Berlin. Through field trips to designer studios, museums, input from guest speakers and studio work sessions, each student will develop their own Collection of designs focusing on ‘head to toe’ wearables: apparel, accessories, soft goods, textiles and/or wearable tech.

This project will start with workshop intensives for the first three weeks of the term at Art Center. Students will then travel to Berlin for June and July, getting immersed in the culture with their base in our satellite studio located at Bikini Berlin. The projects will be completed and presented back at Art Center in August.

THE FINAL PRESENTATION will be Friday, August 14, 2 – 4 pm in CMTEL, ACCD Hillside Campus, Pasadena, CA
